St. Patty's Day Swap boxes mailed...
Well, we finished our projects for Viv's St. Patty's Day Swap and have mailed the boxes. Ashley and I love estate sales/thrift stores and we went through our stashes and found some fun treasures to create with.
While at a thrift store recently, we found a bag of some older cardboard coasters you put drinks on. We are into the holiday subway art right now and thought the coasters would be perfect as a sturdy backing for a St. Patrick's Day subway art ornament. Here is the back:
And here is the front:
At various estate sales we hoarded found a box of unused "Gold Bond Bottle Caps," some gold "Glitterex" glitter, and green metalic ribbon. I'm liking how they turned out.
We then turned our sights on some clothes pin dolls. We've hoarded different types of clothes pins and the only thing we had to purchase were the little stands and some shamrock fabric. Actually found the fabric at Joann's in the clearance section, so we did good with the price on that.
Here are our little St. Patty's Day girl leprechauns:
And last, but not least, these are my favorite! I love holiday cloches and creating them with the plastic wine glasses. We've had the leprechaun cupcake toppers which we purchased at a flea market. The little tart tins were also obtained at various flea markets and estate sales. Along with confetti, snow, and printing the pot of gold image from the internet, we were set!
Here are our lephcrechaun cloches:
Well, we hope that Viv and our secret partner love our creations as much as we loved creating them.
Take care and have a happy rest of the weekend!
